who we are
underground66 is an all-original alternative rock band based out of Owen Sound, ON. underground66 formed with its complete line up early in 2008. Their sound is an energetic and progressive, barroom stomp. Think ’Queens of the Stone Age’ meets ’Tool’ while having a drink with ’Michael Hedges’ and ’Edgar Allan Poe’.
Christopher McGruer is the lead vocalist, Shay Morris plays guitar, Brodie McGruer plays bass and Ed Morrow rounds it out on the drums. All four members are intensely focused individuals who came together to create a solid, all-original smack of sound that would blow audience members through the back wall with their fists raised in the air. The members of underground66 are all in their thirties and work with the specific purpose to write original songs, record those songs, and play those songs in front of a live audience.

All tracks on the new CD were recorded by Paul Farrow at ’Avenue A Recording’ in Owen Sound. All tracks produced by Paul Farrow and underground66. Bowery’s lament was shot and edited by James Hooey of SoundPro Studios. Pictures of the band were taken by Rodger Flood of Floodtography Studio and Bruce Flett.
